Continental Mills Announces Sale of Industrial Food Coatings Business to Newly Weds Foods
10/9/2012 – Tukwila, Wash. (PRNewswire) – John Heily, President and CEO of Continental Mills, a Tukwila, Washington company announced today that they have sold their Industrial Food Coatings Business, including a 55,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Pendleton, Oregon, to Newly Weds Foods. Newly Weds Foods is a privately held company based in Chicago, Illinois and has a number of industrial manufacturing facilities nationally and internationally. The transaction will be complete today.
"The focus of Newly Weds Foods is the industrial food industry, and by selling this division of Continental Mills, it gives us the resources to invest and focus on our branded business which include Krusteaz© pancake and baking mixes and Ghirardelli brownies and cookie mixes, as well as a number of other labels."
