Jeff Skinner New CEO of DBI Beverage Inc.
07/10/2012 – SAN FRANCISCO (Business Wire) – DBI Beverage Inc., one of California’s largest beverage distributors, has named Jeffrey D. Skinner Chief Executive Officer. DBI Beverage Inc. and its sister company, Ingram Entertainment Inc., are owned by David B. Ingram and headquartered in La Vergne, Tenn., outside of Nashville.
Skinner replaces W. Donnie Daniel, who has been named Vice Chairman of DBI Beverage. David Ingram, who founded DBI Beverage in 2002, continues as chairman.
DBI Beverage Inc. has acquired distributorships in these eight California markets since its founding 10 years ago: Chico, Napa, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Jose, Truckee and Ukiah. In 2011, DBI Beverage had approximately $450 million in total revenues and distributed 25 million cases of beverage product, making it the 11th largest distributor of its kind in the nation. Brands distributed by DBI include Miller, Coors, Corona, Heineken, Pabst, Anchor Steam, Fat Tire, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Sierra Nevada, Pyramid, Guinness, Sam Adams, Red Bull and Crystal Geyser.
Skinner most recently served as chief operating officer at DBI Beverage. He began his 25-year career with the Ingram companies in 1987 as a senior financial analyst at Ingram Distribution Group. Over the next 20 years, Skinner served in the role of controller, and later as vice president of finance, for Ingram Merchandising Services Inc. and Ingram Entertainment Inc. He became chief financial officer of DBI Beverage in 2002 and was promoted to DBI’s chief operating officer in 2008. Skinner also serves as a DBI Beverage Inc. director. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a B.B.A. in accounting.
