Save Mart Supermarkets Appoints Two Industry Veterans to Key Executive Positions
08/31/2012 – Modesto, Calif. (Business Wire) – Save Mart Supermarkets today announced the appointments of Eric J. Nadworny as Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Legal Officer (CHRO/CLO), and Greg Hill as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
In the newly-created role of CHRO/CLO at Save Mart, Nadworny is responsible for leading the human resources, labor relations, risk management, compliance, and legal functions for the Modesto, California-based grocer. Nadworny has extensive experience in both the private and public sectors, and has honed his leadership skills in the retail industry at such well-known companies as Ross Stores, BJ’s Wholesale Club and Shaw’s Supermarkets (US Group, Sainsbury Supermarkets).
A graduate of Dartmouth College and Boston University School of Law, Nadworny currently serves as a board member and legal officer for Food4Farmers, a non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating food insecurity in coffee-growing communities around the world.
Greg Hill began his professional career with Price Waterhouse LLP, where he provided audit and transaction support services to a diverse mix of companies including retail, technology, real estate, and agriculture. He has spent the past 14 years serving on executive leadership teams for both private and public companies, primarily as CFO, but also in General Manager and CEO positions.
In his role as Save Mart’s CFO, Hill will oversee the Finance, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Strategy and Business Development, and Internal Audit functions.
